U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame
The U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame and Museum is located in
the City of Ishpeming in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the birthplace of
organized skiing in the United States. Along with housing the Hall of Fame and
Museum, the building includes a theater, library, gift shop, offices and plenty
of storage space for archive
material and collections.
Alberta Village Museum (Henry Ford’s Historic Model Sawmill Town)
This unique village with it's sawmill, was built by Henry Ford in the midst of his northern forest holdings. It was to become one of his "Village Industries", which were common in lower Michigan.

Tilden is the only iron ore processing facility in the world with the capacity to produce both hematite and magnetite iron ore pellets. The mine is very innovative and was the first to produce fluxed pellets in 1987. At the moment the production capacity is 7.8 million tons of pellets every year. At this production rate, the identified ore reserves will last until 2041.
Yooper Dome - Da Yoopers Tourist Trap
The Superior Dome, which opened as the world’s largest wooden dome on September 14, 1991, is a domed stadium on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. It is home to the Northern Michigan Wildcats football team, as well as a variety of campus and community events.
The Dome stands 14 stories high and encompasses 5.1 acres (21,000 m²) under its roof. Constructed of 781 Douglas Fir Beams and 108.5 miles (175 km) of fir decking, the Dome has a permanent seating capacity of 8,000, though the building can hold as many as 16,000 people. The facility features a diameter of 536 feet (163 m), and has the ability to withstand 60 pounds force per square foot (2.87 kPa) of snow and 80 mile per hour (130 km/h) winds.
Canyon Falls is a well-known falls in a roadside park on US-41 south of L'Anse near the town of Alberta. The falls are on the Sturgeon River, and are well worth a stop if you're in the area.
